Consistency in Rail Training

The ARA promotes consistency in rail training through a consistent approach in creating common course materials that align with the nationally recognised units of competency developed by the industry skills councils.  

Common course materials are designed to make it easier for employees to move and work across jurisdictions and will also save companies time, resources and money as they will not have to develop and maintain their own materials.


National Track Safety Induction (NTSI) Course

In conjunction with Australian rail owners and operators, the ARA in conjunction with industry members have developed the NTSI training courseware to cover the core, common competency requirements of level 1 track safety awareness across Australia.
